My Journey at SXSW Sydney 2024
SXSW Sydney 2024 was a defining moment in my journey as a game developer and social entrepreneur. Representing the Indian gaming community on such a prestigious international stage was both an honor and a responsibility. Over the course of the event, I delivered three impactful talks, engaging with industry leaders, investors, and fellow creators to highlight the potential of Indian game development.
One of my key sessions, GAMECHANGERS LIVE: WHERE INDIE DREAMS MEET, was a deep dive into the evolving Indian gaming ecosystem, where I shared the stage with Rhea Gupte, Co-founder of imissmyfriends.studio . We explored the rise of indie game developers in India, the creative synergy behind Desi Woofs, and how storytelling in games can drive meaningful change.
Beyond my talks, SXSW Sydney was an incredible networking opportunity. I had the privilege of meeting the CEO of Twitch and other influential figures in the gaming industry. These conversations provided valuable insights into global gaming trends, content creation, and community building. It was inspiring to see how the world perceives India’s gaming potential and to discuss ways to bridge gaps between Indian developers and international markets.
SXSW Sydney 2024 reinforced my belief in games for good—the idea that gaming is more than entertainment; it is a powerful medium for storytelling, social impact, and cultural representation. This experience has further fueled my mission to put Indian game development on the global map and create meaningful, engaging experiences for players worldwide.
